The Hajj                                         

 

 

Once a year Muslims form all around the world join to go on the Hajj. They gather together in Mecca and stand before the Kaaba worshiping Allah all together. The Hajj is a type of ritual designed to creat and show Islamic sister and brotherhood and showing a huge sense of community, and showing that everyone is equal in the eyes of Allah. On the Hajj the Muslim people wear simple white clothing called Ihram. On this pilgrimage Muslims perform acts of worship and renew senses of their purpose in this world. The Hajj isthe fith pillar of faith. The Hajj is in the month of Dhul Hijjah, which is the twelve month in the Islamic lunar calendar. Mecca is the most holy place for Muslims and non-Muslims are not allowed to enter. Every Muslim must go on the Hajj at least once in their lifetime if they are finacially and phisicaly able.
